New PS5 Showcase Give Us Pricing and Release Dates

Leaving it to the last moments, Sony has finally given us the price for both versions of the Play Station 5. $499 USD for the PS5 and $399 for the Digital Edition. The consoles will launch November 12th in the USA, Japan Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The rest of the world will get it on November 19th. Notably, the U.K. and EU Member Nations are left out of the initial release date.

The pricing and release information was buried under new gameplay footage of games including the world premieres of Final Fantasy XVI (sixteen) and Hogwarts Legacy. Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon Souls, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and many others also make appearances in the 50-minute stream.

Sony also debuted a new perk of PlayStation Plus coming with the release of the PS5. The PlayStation Plus Collection will be 15 first and third-party titles that will be made available to download, not steam, on PS5 for active PS Plus Members at no additional cost.

And now, the games coming to PS5 at Launch and 2021. Other than the aforementioned premieres, the games shown were mostly what we know is coming in the launch window of the PS5. Including one very special surprise reveal that Sony left til the End: God of War is coming to the PS5 in 2021.
