'Avengers: Endgame' Shatters The Opening Weekend Box Office Record!

by James A. Barnes

“Avengers: Endgame” obliterated the domestic opening weekend box office record, earning $350M. “Avengers: Endgame” earned $93M more than the previous record holder, "Avengers Infinity War” which earned $257M in its opening weekend at the domestic box office.

“Avengers: Endgame” has also shattered the global opening weekend box office record, earning $1.2B worldwide in just five days.

“Avengers: Endgame” broke several more records this weekend including the biggest Thursday preview in history earning $60M beating the previous record holder “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which earned $57M. Endgame broke the record for fastest to $100M (1 Day), the fastest to $150M (1 Day), the fastest to $200M (2 Days), the fastest to $250M (2 days), the fastest to $300M (3 days), and the fastest to $350M (3 Days).

“Avengers: Endgame” broke the International opening weekend box office record, making $859M. The film broke the global IMAX opening record, earning $91.5M and the global 3D opening record, earning $540M.

These are just a handful of the records that Endgame has broken so far, but the big question is can “Avengers: Endgame” break the global box office record set by “Avatar” which earned $2.788B. I think Endgame will beat the record and I estimate that the film will earn $2.9B at the end of its box office run.
