Avengers Infinity War, The New Box Office King!

Avengers Infinity War Captures The Biggest Opening Weekend Of All-Time!

Avengers: Infinity War has dethroned Star Wars: The Force Awakens and has captured the largest opening weekend in history scoring $258M at the domestic box office. Infinity War has also made an additional $380M overseas bringing the worldwide opening total to $640.8M making it the highest global opening weekend of all time, without debuting in China.

Infinity War will join "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," “Jurassic World,” “Marvel's The Avengers” and “Black Panther” as one of the only six films in history to debut at $200M. This hallmarks a milestone for Disney as 5 out of the 6 films that have debuted over $200M are their titles.

Infinity War marks the 19th film in the MCU and scored the biggest opening weekend for a Marvel film. This is the third film in the MCU directed by The Russo Brothers, and they did an incredible job telling an amazing story and finding unique ways to give every hero their moment to shine.

Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of the past 10 years of the MCU and is easily my favorite MCU film to date and has become my favorite comic book movie of all time. Ultron was kind of a disappointment for me compared to how he is in the comics but the version of Thanos that we got in Infinity War was so much better than the comics and he has become my favorite villain of all-time.
