Batwoman Is Coming To The Arrowverse

The Next Arrowverse Crossover Will Introduce Batwoman

At the CW's upfront presentation, Stephen Amell and the CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed that Batwoman will be joining the Arrowverse in the fall crossover event. I'm excited to see the Arrowverse expand even more and I think Batwoman done the right way could breed new life into the universe.

Batwoman (Kathy Kane) was created by writer Edmond Hamilton and artist Sheldon Moldoff. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #233 in 1956 as a love interest for Batman. In 1964 Batwoman and a few other characters were removed from Batman comics but were re-introduced in 2006 as Kate Kane who protected Gotham during Batman's absence during the events of 'Infinite Crisis.'

When talking about the crossover Amell said this:

“We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character,” “For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

The next crossover event will air this December.
