Danny Boyle is the front runner to direct Bond 25.

Deadline reports MGM and Annapurna Pictures are gearing up to start production on Bond 25 and they have their eyes set on Oscar winning director Danny Boyle. Boyle won the best director Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire and I'm excited to see what he can do with a James Bond Film.

Boyle has wanted to direct a bond film for a long time and MGM has wanted to work with him on a Bond project since 2012's Skyfall. Daniel Craig is set to return as James Bond for his 5th appearance as the character.
