EA Play Live Announcements Recap

Electronic Arts held their “EA Play Live” event, hosted by WWE Superstar Xavier Woods AKA Austin Creed. The show was short but informative and engaging thanks to impressive stage effects, putting some of their sports announcements in the pre-show, and a charismatic Creed.
EA celebrated the history of the newly acquired racing game studio Codemasters and revealed “GRID Legends” as their next game in development, releasing in 2022. Apex Legends premiered the extended cinematic introducing new legend “Seer”. We got a look at a new game mode in Battlefield 2042 called “Battlefield Portal”, which offers users to make custom games with any weapon, uniform, vehicle, and more from any era in the Battlefield franchise. Finally, they capped off the show with the official announcement of the Dead Space remake currently in development for the PS5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.
