Brigitte (“Bri-Gee-Taa” We’re going to say her name right people) is now live to all PC and Console players.

Initial feelings are: I like her. (Big surprise coming from the Flex Support Main.)

Though it’s been a hassle to get to play her in quick play where everyone wants a shot at her, I’ve played enough with her to get a feel for how I would personally want to run her in games.

As stated she’s a Tank-Support hybrid though she can’t really stand on her own in either category. She needs to be in the front lines where swinging her flail can get her healing aura to work. She must be protected while there so the healer in the back line must check in on her. Her shield is small and can be riddled down to nothing pretty easily and leave her vulnerable so she would more likely play in the front line but behind the tanks. Her healing and self-healing are over time but feel a bit slow her armor pack does have a cast time so you would have to throw them out earlier than you would expect to reach the target in time.

One would think running her with Reinhardt would be the best option but I’ve noticed that playing her with Zarya works surprisingly well. Currently, I’ve noticed players have focused down the Brigette so putting a bubble on her in the front lines almost guarantee the first 40% of charge.

Though available in most game modes, Brigitte is not available for this season of competitive. Though it is quite early in Season 9, Blizzard opted to wait until Season 10 to make her live in competitive mode so unless whole teams get together to try and emulate a competitive team composition, it will be hard to see her full potential until May.

When it comes to Overwatch League, the fact that Brigitte won’t be live until Season 10 makes it doubtful that we will see her in the inaugural season. However, the servers at Blizzard Arena are different than the public servers and teams may have the ability to have scrimmages against each other. So Blizzard may make Brigitte available in that server so players can practice for maybe a Stage 4 appearance.
