Halloween Ends Movie Review

“Halloween Ends” is a bit of a mixed bag.

On the one hand, it’s a film trying to explore themes that were introduced in the previous continuity of films and I think it succeeds in its message that EVIL cannot be killed…it only changes SHAPE.

I didn’t mind that Michael Myers was just a vessel for the EVIL and because Michael’s body is older, The EVIL wanted a new host to continue spreading its reign of fear and terror.

On the other hand, this film was supposed to be the EPIC conclusion to Michael and Laurie’s 40-year-long story and they only interact for a few minutes at the end of the film.

“Halloween” (2018) and “Halloween Kills” truly portrayed Michael as an unstoppable killing machine that only got stronger and more deadly with every kill.

When we first meet Michael in “Halloween Ends” he’s so weak and feeble and it honestly bothered me to watch a character that I’ve loved for so many years be reduced to how we see him in the film.

Overall, I didn’t hate “Halloween Ends” but it definitely failed to serve as a proper ending for the “Halloween” Quadrilogy.

P.S. I think I would’ve enjoyed this new direction with Corey a lot more if it came after “Halloween Ends” and was going to be the beginning of a new chapter.
