10 Great Movies With Low Rotten Tomatoes Critic Scores
Rotten Tomatoes has always been a great guide for general audiences to see what critics think about a movie before it hits theaters…but they don’t always get it right.

Tron: Legacy (2010)

“Tron: Legacy” was one of the most fun and visually stunning movies of 2010 and features one of the best movie soundtracks of all time.
Pitch Black (2000)
ROTTEN TOMATOES: 59% CRITIC RATING | 77% AUDIENCE RATING
Riddick is my favorite movie anti-hero and “Pitch Black” is one of my favorite movies of all time.
The film exploits an individual's inherent fear of the dark and amplifies it by 11 as we follow a group of travelers who crash land on a planet about to be shrouded in darkness for the next 22 years. To make matters worse, they soon discover the planet is home to flesh-eating monsters eager for their next feast.
National Treasure (2004)

“National Treasure” is a really fun Mystery/Adventure film.
It may not be the most historically accurate, but the main focus of a film is to entertain audiences and I think that the film accomplishes that on several levels.
The Boondock Saints (1999)

“The Boondock Saints” is one of my favorite vigilante movies. I’ve always loved characters who seek to truly cleanse the world of evil and ask for nothing in return.
Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)

I’m constantly bouncing back and forth between “Die Hard” and “Die Hard: With A Vengeance” as my favorite movie of the franchise.
“Die Hard: With A Vengeance” pits McClane against Hans’ brother Simon who’s trying to steal all the gold from the Federal Reserve.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
ROTTEN TOMATOES: 42% CRITIC RATING | 83% AUDIENCE RATING
“Godzilla: King of the Monsters” expanded the Legendary MonsterVerse and introduced new audiences to some of the most iconic titans from the greater Godzilla franchise (Mothra, Ghidorah, Rodan, and Methuselah). I loved the sound design, it had a great VFX, and the fight between Nuclear Godzilla and King Ghidorah alone was worth the price of admission.
Olympus Has Fallen (2013)

“Olympus Has Fallen” is one of my favorite action movies of all time. A lot of films over the years have tried to recreate the magic of “Die Hard” and I think that “Olympus Has Fallen” is one of the best to ever do it.
Armageddon (1998)

“Armageddon” is one of my favorite Michael Bay movies and one of my favorite disaster movies. Michael Bay crafted a fun, action-packed disaster movie that perfectly balances the film’s world-ending stakes with great moments of humor.
The Mummy (1999)

"The Mummy" stands as one of the best and most rewatchable action-adventure films ever made and the fact that it only has a 61% critic rating is an insult in itself. The film has thrilling action sequences, a captivating score, and exceptional performances from its entire main cast.
Man of Steel (2013)
ROTTEN TOMATOES: 56% CRITIC RATING | 75% AUDIENCE RATING
“Man of Steel” is a masterpiece within the superhero movie genre and Henry Cavill is my favorite Superman.
I also loved Zack Snyder’s exploration of how the world would react to a being like Superman. Some praise him as a God, while others fear him because they don’t understand him and can’t control him.
