Silver Surfer Film in Development

THR reports that 20th Century Fox has announced that they have a standalone Silver Surfer film in development and that it will be written by Brian K. Vaughan. The Silver Surfer character was created by the legendary Jack Kirby in 1966 and made his live-action debut in 2007’s sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, with Doug Jones (The Shape of Water) providing his physical presence and Laurence Fishburne his voice.

Brian K. Vaughan is best known for the comic book series Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Runaways, Pride of Baghdad, Saga, and, most recently, Paper Girls.
