It’s finally here! The new Space Jam film starring LeBron James, has been long awaited and it has finally arrived. I know I know there are people that are going to compare this new one to the original Space Jam film with Michael Jordan, so we will review it both as a stand-alone film and how it matches up with the original.

So here is a brief synopsis on the new Space Jam film. Lebron James is a superstar athlete and has been taught that hard work and no play is the way to success. He has adapted this in every aspect of his life and now as a father to his kids he has decided to push them in that direction. His son takes a liking to video game design, and it seems he isn’t as interested in basketball as his father would like him to be. The father and son duo find themselves trapped inside a digital world in which James must recruit a team capable of winning a basketball game to get them out.

A New Legacy is a new fresh take on the Space Jam series. We get to see just how much the world around us has changed. The original Space Jam was released 25 years ago. That’s right you read that correctly Space Jam was released in 1996. In Space Jam: A New Legacy we see so many technological advancements from the main villain being Al G. Rhythm to his son prepping a game for an upcoming e3 event. In this movie we also get more of a family aspect. In the first iteration we do see Michael Jordan’s family but not nearly as in depth as we do with the James family. It’s a nice dynamic and seeing that it’s a family movie its very fitting.

All and all don’t let people sway your from seeing this film. Form your own opinion. This movie is a completely different movie form the one in the past and you should view it with an open mind. With that being said, we will see you guys on the next one.
