by: James A. Barnes

The official website for the "Sword Art Online: Alicization" anime announced on Friday that the anime will debut its first episode in a 1-hour world premiere event in seven countries: North America, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Russia, and South Korea.

This new season will bring new challenges to our heroes as it adapts the 'Alicization Arc’ from volume 9-18 of Reki Kawahara's light novel series.

In the new season, Kirito will be asked to test a new type of dive technology called Soul Translator before it hits the market. While Kirito thinks he's just testing the newest type of FullDive equipment, Rath is actually using Kirito to make and test a new military AI.

"Sword Art Online: Alicization" will premiere on Japan television this October.
