Sword Art Online is finally returning for a third season.
Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale was the last time fans got to see Kirito and Asuna in action, and now we are finally getting a third installment of the anime.
This new season will bring new challenges to our heroes as it adapts the 'Alicization arc’ from volume 9-18 of Reki Kawahara's light novel series.
In the new season, Kirito will be asked to test a new type of dive technology called Soul Translator before it hits the market. While Kirito thinks he's just testing the newest type of FullDive equipment, Rath is actually using Kirito to make and test a new military AI.

The series was originally created by Reki Kawahara with illustrations provided by abec. The series follows Kirito and thousands of other gamers after getting trapped in a virtual reality video game known as Sword Art Online. The gamers must band together to win the game in order to get back to the real world.
The new season is set to premiere this October, so stayed tuned to Careful 4 Spoilers for new developments on the project.
