EA Announces New Progression System Going Into Effect March 21st

New Progression System For Star Wars Battlefront II

Written by: Bryce Jackson

This morning, the EA Star Wars Twitter account announced the new progression system rework that will go into effect March 21st.

Star Cards and player class, hero vehicle upgrades are now earned by linear player progression and have been completely removed from loot crates. When a player levels up, they will earn a skill point that can be accumulated and used to unlock or upgrade their desired Star Card. Players that have already unlocked Star Cards will keep what they have.

Along with no longer containing Star Cards, loot crates will no longer be available for purchase. Crates will be earned by logging in daily, reaching player milestones, and completing challenges. Crates will contain character emotes and cosmetic items.

In April, new cosmetic items will be made available to players. Players will have a choice of either using in game Credits or purchase Crystals to obtain these items.
